SHIP Local Housing
Assistance Plan (LHAP)

The Local Housing Assistance Plan outlines how Sarasota County will use State Housing Initiative Program (SHIP) funds for affordable housing initiatives.  SHIP funds are used to address local housing needs for very low-, low- and moderate-income families. 

 

​The final LHAP was approved by the Sarasota County Commission on November 18, 2025. Florida Housing Finance Corporation (Florida Housing) approved the LHAP on December 9, 2025.
